About NMD

This is the blog of the New Media Design bachelor and master tracks at Tilburg University (the Netherlands). These tracks are part of the programme Communication & Information Sciences of the Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences.

Based on scientific theories and empirical findings in several domains, including (cognitive) psychology, communication sciences, and computer sciences, New Media Design students learn to study the impact of new media on individuals and on society. Also, they learn to use scientific research methods during the design process of new media products (cf. design research) and to research the creative aspects relevant to such design processes.

On this blog, we will regularly showcase interesting stuff such as student projects (prototypes, thesis projects, research findings, …), class activities (interactive discussions, expert reviews, guest lectures, …) and our lecturers’ (and students’) research activities.
