Hereby, I am sending my sincere greetings to students who are interested into studying at Tilburg University in the future. I am Jie Lin, coming from Shanghai, China. At the beginning of this year, I graduated from my master program of supply chain management at Tilburg University. Following is several personal experiences I want to share with you, regarding to studying and living in Tilburg, the Netherlands.
In general, this country offers international students with high quality education and living standards. The diplomas received from research universities not only are able to enrich your academic knowledge but at the meantime, bring you competence to stand out during job application either in Europe or back into your home countries. Living in the Netherlands will never make you feel either lonely or bored. Almost every Dutch person can speak very fluent English. They are very open-minded and welcome to get in touch with different cultures. Besides, this country is one of the most innovative ones all over the world. I believe you will be further impressed by this country after exploring it in person.
I have settled down my decision on studying at Tilburg University for three reasons. First, a studying pattern combining with theoretical and practical section is attractive. The practical module effectively bridges the connection between the academic knowledge into business environment. Secondly, Tilburg University is geographically beneficial to bring more opportunities for internship. Majority of the companies are in the middle and south part of the Netherlands. Students can easily conduct their internship without concerning time issue and travelling distance. Finally, the Economic and Management Faculty of Tilburg University has enjoyed a great reputation, with being placed at a high position in several professional and influential ranking. Hence, I believe it is certainly worthful to invest your education in Tilburg University.
